Commuters got a sweet surprise today as a regional train company celebrates Pancake Day with special changes to signs and handouts.
Southeastern is replacing all display screens for London St Pancras with 'London St Pancake' along its high-speed line, as the country gears up for everyone's favourite food-based holiday.
Staff at Ashford International have also been distributing lemon juice and pancakes to passengers going through the station.
One twitter user was one of the lucky recipients of the pancake-making kits.
@Surrealfish said: "Thank you @Se_Railway, I’ll be having flipping fun tonight!!!”
Signs will return to normal tomorrow.
David Wornham, passenger services director at Southeastern said: “Thousands of people use our services every day, so it feels really good to be able to do something a little different that puts a smile on their faces.”
Pancake Day comes from the annual practice of eating the sweet treats on Shrove Tuesday, which can fall on a day in February or March.
