Firefighters from Ashford were called to the A2070 and Kilndown Close, in Stanhope last night after two vehicles caught alight

Fire crews from Ashford were called to a series of blazes across the borough last night.
They were called to the A2070, just passed Macdonolds, at The Parade, at 6.10pm to a report that a van was on fire.
The driver had pulled over after the engine had blown up. No one was reported as injured.
Then, at 1.20am this morning, firefighters attended a car fire in Kilndown Close, in Stanhope.
The cause of the fire is unknown and is currently being investigated by the police.
On their third call out of the night, fire crews attended two public bin fires in Jemmett Road at around 2.40am.
