M20 driver stopped at Ashford has car seized after passing a marked Kent Police patrol

A speeding learner driver had his vehicle seized after flying past a marked police car on the motorway.

The driver was clocked doing 93mph on the M20 near Ashford in the black Mercedes when it sped past the Kent Police patrol.

Officers stopped the vehicle at junction 9 and after checks were carried out found the driver only had a provisional licence.

He also had no insurance or MOT on the vehicle which expired in May.

Police have issued a warning that vehicles without the proper documents will be seized.
