A Stinger device was used to stop a car in its tracks after it sped off from police.
The red Mazda was brought to a halt just off the M20 at Ashford this afternoon.
It had been spotted being pursued by officers in Folkestone.
At least five police cars were involved in forcing the driver to give up the chase.
The Stinger was deployed on the roundabout at Junction 9.
A tweet from the Kent Police Road Policing Unit said the driver had been taken into custody after the vehicle was 'stung'.
