A section of the M20 was closed last night after a trailer was blown over in strong winds and crashed into moving cars.
Police, fire crews and ambulance were all called to the coastbound carriageway just after junction 11 at 9.40pm to a report a trailer being towed by a van had fallen off.
Multiple cars were damaged by the trailer after it detached but no one was reported as injured.
The road was closed at 10pm while police recovered the vehicles.
The carriageway opened again at 11.30pm.
A police spokesman said: "It was reported at 9.40pm that a trailer being towed by a van had fallen over just before Junction 11, coastbound on the M20.
"A couple of cars were damaged taking avoiding action but there were no injuries."
Emergency services were also called to Loudon Way, in Ashford, last night at around 7.40pm.
It was reported that two cars collided near The Two Chinmeys pub.
The occupants of the cars were checked over by paramedics but no one was taken to hospital.
