Ashford's Lidl supermarket will be closed until the summer while it undergoes a major refurbishment.
The store is currently surrounded by a high metal fence as workmen begin gutting the interior.
A sign outside the store in New Street, Ashford tells customers the new-look supermarket will re-open early in July, with the company's nearest other store in Hawkinge.
