Fire at industrial building in Tile Kiln Road, Kennington, near Ashford, deemed suspicious by police

A disused industrial building has been targeted in a suspected arson attack.
Officers are investigating the suspicious blaze at the site in Tile Kiln Road, Kennington, near Ashford, at about 6pm on Saturday.
The fire service was called to the scene and it was extinguished with no reported injuries.
Police are now urging witnesses to come forward.
Last year, it was revealed the site of the abandoned barn and former cottage could be turned into a "beautiful" development of new properties.
Ashford Borough Council proposed a total of 14 for the small piece of land in Kennington.
A police spokesman said: “The fire is being treated as suspicious and anyone with information is urged to call police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/131255/23. Officers would also like to speak to anyone from the area who may have dashcam or CCTV footage which may assist inquiries.”
