Schoolgirl taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Ashford

A teenager was taken to hospital after being struck by a car in Ashford.
The schoolgirl, believed to be 16, suffered leg and head injuries.
She was hit by a vehicle near the Hayesbank B&B, in Canterbury Road, at 5.30pm.
A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We sent clinicians in a car and an ambulance and the teenage girl, who suffered head and leg injuries, was assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to William Harvey Hospital."
