Two Ashford teens, 15 and 16, arrested for assault on Tennyson Road

Two teenagers, aged 15 and 16, have been arrested in an assault investigation.

It comes after police were called to Tennyson Road in Ashford following reports of a disturbance.

The incident, which took place between 4.15am and 5.30am on Saturday, saw two victims injured on the street.

A boy in his late teens was assaulted by a group of people, sustaining a leg injury along with bruises and cuts to his head and face.

The second victim, a man in his 20s, also suffered head injuries after he tried to intervene.

A police spokeswoman said: "On Monday, August 5, two boys from Ashford, aged 15 and 16, were arrested in connection with the assaults and have subsequently been released on police bail until Thursday, August 29.
