Victoria Park, Ashford, attack sparks three arrests and police helicopter search

Three teenagers have been arrested after a man suffered a head injury during an attack in a park.

The police helicopter was seen circling over Ashford last night following the incident in Victoria Park.

Police say the victim was walking with his family just before 9.30pm when he became involved in an altercation with three males.

He suffered a head injury and was taken to the William Harvey Hospital for treatment.

Three teenagers aged between 16 and 19 were arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in custody.

Victoria Park - which is Ashford's largest and most central park - is in line for a multi-million pound transformation after council chiefs secured a huge grant last year.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident last night.
