Ashford teenager charged and to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court after scooter, bicyle and mobile phone reported stolen outside shops in Faversham Road, Kennington

A 15-year-old has been charged with three counts of theft just days after a scooter was reportedly stolen from a parade of shops.
The vehicle was allegedly swiped from its owner in Faversham Road, Kennington in Ashford, between 7pm on Thursday and 1am on Friday (June 7).
It happened by a row of shops including Marino’s Fish Bar and Ashford Dry Cleaners.
Following an investigation, police arrested two people on suspicion of theft on Tuesday (June 11).
A 15-year-old boy, from Ashford, has since been charged with stealing a scooter and a bicycle on June 6, plus a mobile phone on June 11.
The teenager has been bailed to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on July 9.
Meanwhile, a 17-year-old boy has since been released on bail while police continue their investigation.
