Thousands of music lovers are expected in Ashford's Victoria Park this weekend for the 23rd Create Festival.

"It is testimony to the growing success of Create and the amazing support we receive that we have been able to secure such a world-renowned artist."

The festival, which will feature four stages, will run from 11.45am to 9pm on Saturday.

Despite a threat of rain last year, 12,000 people attended the event.

Organisers have pledged to reduce plastic waste at this year’s festival to suppport ABC’s current recycling campaign.

A reusable cup scheme will be introduced and paper straws will be used rather than plastic.

The souvenir plastic cups will require a £1 deposit, but revellers will be able to keep them to remember the event.
