10:54, 19 June 2012
Ashford rower Tom Ransley had to settle for World Cup bronze with the Great Britain men’s eight in Munich on Sunday.
In the last regatta before the Olympics, the GB boat was third behind Poland and Australia, having twice finished second to Germany - absent this time - in the opening two World Cups of the season.
Britain are second favourites behind the Germans - who have beaten GB to the past two World Championships - to claim gold at Eton Dorney in July.
Meanwhile Ransley carried the Olympic Torch near his new base in York on Monday.
