Large queues have formed around a shopping centre as shoppers attempt to bag some bargains on Black Friday.
Traffic is queuing on the A2042 and Norman Road in Ashford as crowds of shoppers try to enter the Ashford Designer Outlet.
One driver who is stuck in traffic on the dual carriageway described the situation as a "nightmare".
Bus routes nearby are being severely impacted as traffic remains at a slow crawl.
Traffic England is showing queues are extending back to Junction 10 of the M20.
To mark the national discount event, some shops are offering up to 50% off the already discounted outlet price.
The outlet's internal car park is full, and the overflow parking - which was closed yesterday due to flood concerns - is nearing maximum capacity.
Motorists are being directed to the additional overflow car park near Ashford International Station.
Additional staff have been brought in to guide shoppers and drivers.
Shops with two doors are implementing an unprecedented entrance and exit system as they struggle to cope with the influx.
The Outlet's Black Friday event is lasting for the duration of the weekend, so inconvenience on the roads should be expected over the coming days.
