Drivers faced long delays on the M20 this morning following a traffic light fault.

Highways England said the London-bound traffic lights were stuck on red at Junction 10 in Ashford.

The problem caused 50 minute delays and up to four miles of traffic on the motorway between Junction 11 and 10.

The A2070 in Ashford was also heavily congested before Highways England officers managed to fix the problem.

Last month, motorists were stuck in traffic for up to two hours after the traffic lights failed on the busy junction.
