A pop-up donation point is opening at Ashford Designer Outlet to help those affected by the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
The site, next to Calvin Klein in the original part of the centre, is set to open on Sunday.
Volunteers are welcoming all donations which could help those impacted by the tragedy, which has so far claimed more than 22,000 lives.
The site will be open from 11am to 3pm on Sunday, then every Saturday and Sunday until March 5.
The project has been organised by Rachel McNeil who was behind a Ukraine donation point at the Outlet last year.
"With great generosity again the Ashford Designer Outlet has kindly allowed us to use a unit," she said.
"Car parking is free for 30 minutes to allow drop off, however if people are there longer they can advise my team on the day."
Ms McNeil has put together a list of items which would be gratefully received at the donation point but must be clean and in good order.
These include clean bedding, blankets, sleeping bags, nappies, wipes, warm baby clothes, children’s and adults warm clothing including coats, baby food and ready-made formula, non-perishable food items, toiletries, sanitary products, medicines such as paracetamol, first aid, and Calpol.
She added: "The news is devastating with the increasing number of dead and injured, not to mention how heartbreaking it is to see children, babies, elderly and communities literally left with nothing.
"Over time we will learn the true extent of this tragedy, but any help is invaluable; every donation makes a huge difference no matter how big or small."
The Ashford Rotary Club is again supporting the pop-up shop and will take cash and card donations which will go to the DEC (Disaster Emergency Committee).
Ms McNeil has also been working with Turkish restaurant chain Aspendos which is also accepting the same donations to send to those affected.
The company is accepting donations at its sites in Ashford, Dymchurch, Cheriton, Folkestone, Dover, Margate, and Deal.
The Ruya takeaway in Tenterden also donated all its takings yesterday and is accepting donations.
On Facebook, Ashford Borough Council shared a post on Facebook about the Outlet donation point.
It wrote: "Like everyone, we are devastated and heartbroken following the aftermath of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
"As always in times of a humanitarian crisis, Ashford's community comes together and we can see that community member Rachel McNeil has set up the following pop-up appeal for donations which we wanted to share for awareness.
"The wonderful Ashford Rotary Club will be available to help with donations, all proceeds will go to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC)."
Also at the Outlet, Mountain Warehouse is set to open this weekend after expansion work which has seen the store double in size and welcome the addition of the Animal brand.
