Two people are in a critical condition in hospital after a crash in Kingsnorth yesterday.
A 21-year-old man from New Romney and a 20-year-old woman from Canterbury were taken to a London hospital with injuries police describe as life-threatening.
They were in a black Mazda MX-5 which collided with a silver Ford Focus C-Max at 4.20pm in Ashford Road near the old ironworks.
One casualty was already out of one of the vehicles when firefighters arrived at the scene but crews using hydraulic rescue equipment cut another person from the wreckage.
Both people were transported to hospital by the Kent, Surrey and Sussex air ambulance.
The 84-year-old driver of the Focus was treated for minor injuries.
Kent Police's serious collision unit is investigating the accident.
