Two men assaulted on playing field in Stanhope Road, Ashford

Two men required hospital treatment after they were allegedly assaulted on a playing field.
Officers were called to a disturbance on a field in Stanhope Road in Ashford at around 6.54pm yesterday.
According to eyewitnesses, around 30 people were on the playing field at the time of the incident.
Two men received treatment after sustaining arm and hand injuries in the assault. They were taken to hospital for further treatment.
At present, no arrests have been made and inquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.

Following an earlier incident near The John Wallis Academy, police confirmed that it was not a "stabbing".
They added: "We were called to a reports of man who had been seen injured in Stanhope Road, Ashford, at 2.39pm on Tuesday 2 April 2019.
"Officers attended the scene alongside crews from the South East Coast Ambulance Service and a man was treated at the scene for a hand injury. He did not require hospital treatment."
