A vicar is set to launch a new comedy club which will see top comedians performing for audiences in Kent.
The Rev Ravi Holy, the vicar at Wye near Ashford, is himself a stand-up comedian, and is helping to stage Revels Comedy Club events at Revelation St Mary’s in the town centre.
He said: “This will be a family comedy night, it won’t be crude but it will be funny. We hope to run three or four events each year, we will see what the appetite is.”
The line-up for the first night includes award-winning one-liner specialist Paul Kerensa, who will be supported by razor-sharp Rob Thomas and Bentley Browning.
Both have appeared on Channel 4 and ITV television shows. Rev Holy will be hosting the evening on Friday, October 27 from 8pm.
Tickets cost £10 in advance or £12 on the door for adults, or £8 in advance or £10 on the door for under 16s. To book visit www.revelationashford.co.uk or call 01233 663201.
