It happened in the early hours of Saturday, May 26.

Detective constable Kelvin Lucken said: "Two people were seen near the car at about 12.45am.

"One was carrying what we believe was a container of petrol which was poured onto a fence and then over the BMW.

"The pair walked off and returned shortly after. One ignited the petrol causing the car to go up in flames and a rock was thrown at a window of a nearby house."
