A woman had to be cut free from her car after she lost control, struck two reservation barriers and hit another vehicle last night.
The woman, believed to be in her 50s, was travelling on the coastbound carriageway of the M20 between junctions 8 and 9 when the accident happened.
An ambulance spokesman said the car hit the inside reservation before hitting the central reservation and then another car.
Firefighters cut the woman free at around 10pm and she was taken to the William Harvey Hospital with a leg injury and hip pain.
No one else was injured.
