Woman dies after being hit by Ford Kuga outside William Harvey Hospital, Ashford

A woman has died after being hit by a car outside a hospital.
Police are appealing for information after the pensioner died just over a week after being struck close to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.
Emergency services were called to the hospital’s junction with Kennington Road just after 5.10pm on Wednesday, November 22, following the incident.
A blue Ford Kuga collided with the pedestrian, who was in her 80s.
Police and paramedics attended the scene and the road was closed off.
The victim was rushed into the hospital, where she subsequently died from her injuries.
The driver of the car, a 63-year-old man from Ashford, was arrested in relation to the incident.
He has since been bailed pending further inquiries.
Officers are renewing their appeal for information and would like to hear from any eyewitnesses or anyone who has dashcam footage that could assist their inquiries.
Investigators would particularly like to speak to anyone with dashcam who was entering or leaving the hospital car park around that time.
