Charing woman killed after being trapped in Canterbury Road house fire

A woman has died after becoming trapped in a burning house.
Fire crews were called to the blaze on Canterbury Road in Charing at 2.14pm.
Four fire engines attended, with two hose reels being used to put out the flames by 3.40pm.
The cause of the fire is unknown with the police, who were also at the scene, now investigating.
A police spokesman said: "Police were called to Longbeech Park, Charing at 2.30pm following a report of a fire.
"A woman was trapped in the property and died.
"The incident is under investigation and officers will work with colleges from Kent Fire and Rescue Service to establish the cause of the fire."
