A woman has died after a collision on the M20, which led to the road being closed for several hours.
The victim, aged in her 20s, was found dead in the middle of the carriageway at junction 10a at Ashford in the early hours.
Police have been investigating the cause of the crash since they were called at 3.10am.
It was reported the body of a pedestrian was lying in the road on the coastbound carriageway.
Officers from the Kent Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit are now asking for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage in the area at the time or who saw a collision to come forward.
Investigators would also like to speak to anyone who believes they may have been involved in a collision.
A diversion was set up by Highways England to avoid the closed area.
Drivers were advised to exit the M20 at J10 on to the coastbound A20 towards Folkestone. Continue on the A20 then re-join the M20 at J11.
The Londonbound and coastbound carriageways have now been reopened.
Police remain at the scene and are currently carrying out investigation work.
