Pedestrian hit by car in Somerset Road, Ashford

A woman has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in a town centre.
Emergency services were called to Somerset Road in Ashford just after 1pm following reports of a collision involving a car and pedestrian.
The police and ambulance service both attended and the woman was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Last month, a pensioner was taken to hospital with a head injury after being knocked down in the same spot.
