Police investigation after racist incident in Ashford next to former Mecca Bingo

A woman was racially abused after confronting a man who was urinating in public.
Police are investigating after the incident occurred in St John's Lane alleyway in Ashford town centre.
At about 5.20pm on Tuesday, June 29, the victim was walking down the alley, which runs between the Lower High Street and Vicarage Lane car park next to the former Mecca Bingo hall.
She then challenged the man before being subjected to racist verbal abuse.
The suspect is described as being in his late 30s, with shoulder-length brown hair.
He wore grey jogging bottoms, a grey tracksuit top and carried a guitar.
A 43-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested in connection with the incident and released on bail until Wednesday, July 21 while inquiries continue.
