Tractor stolen from Woodchurch
15:55, 05 October 2017
Police are appealing for witnesses after a tractor was stolen from rural Ashford.
It is believed the blue New Holland tractor was taken from a farm shed in Woodchurch, between 4.20pm on Monday and 10.06am the following day
The tractor was described as having a mowing attachment on it when stolen.
Inspector Jason Atkinson from Ashford Community Safety Unit issued a reminder to those living in rural areas to ensure they take steps to protect themselves against crime.
He said: "Farms, rural businesses and homes can sometimes be seen as easy targets for thieves due to their isolated locations.
"Keep expensive machinery and vehicles out of sight, remove their keys and get them security marked.
"Report any suspicious activity as it will assist officers in building up a fuller picture of any issues in the area."
Anyone with information regarding the tractor theft is asked to contact Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting ZY/47391/17.
