A bus full of passengers was targeted by yobs who threw a plank of wood at the moving vehicle.

The Stagecoach bus was targeted as it was driving along Stanhope Road in Ashford on Thursday evening.

A spokesperson for Stagecoach confirmed: "A plank of wood was thrown at a bus in the Stanhope area on Thursday evening.

“Thankfully there were no reports of any injuries and no significant damage to the bus.

"Targeting a moving vehicle is an incredibly dangerous act and we urge anyone with any information who saw young people in the area carrying a wooden plank to contact the police."

Police have been approached for comment.
