Truckers have to take a break by law - but not on a motorway slip road.
Stunned traffic police found three lorries on the exit slip at Junction 10a of the M20 at Ashford.
The officers swiftly moved in and fined the offenders on Wednesday morning.
They tweeted what had happened at 6.30am, saying: “The drivers of these three HGVs thought it was acceptable to take their breaks on the exit slip road at Junction 10a.
“Our roads policing unit didn’t.”
The lorries were ordered to be moved and the drivers were given GFPNs (graduated fixed penalty notices).
HGV drivers are legally required to take a break after four-and-a-half hours of driving.
