A man and woman were injured after being attacked by a group of teenagers wielding weapons.
The couple had to be taken to hospital following the night-time attack in South Ashford.
At about 11.30pm on Tuesday night, the pair had been walking along Beaver Lane when they were approached by a trio of young men at the junction of Cuckoo Lane.
The suspects then reportedly attacked the victims with weapons including a piece of wood with nails in it, and a catapult with stones and eggs.
The assailants, all of whom were white, aged 15 to 18, and were wearing balaclavas, then ran away in the direction of the playground in the area.
One of the boys was reportedly wearing a white hooded top and another was wearing a dark green jacket.
The victims were left with injuries that needed gluing at hospital.
