Hard ground forces Point-to-Point season finale at Aldington on Bank Holiday Monday to be called off

East Sussex & Romney Marsh Hunt have been forced to call-off the final South East area Point-to-Point meeting of the season, at Aldington on Bank Holiday Monday due to the hard state of the ground.
Secretary Gardie Grissell says it's the first time ever they have lost a meeting due to a lack of rain.
He said: "The course inspector David Tindall looked on Thursday, and ruled it was unraceable due to being so dry. It is rock hard and would be dangerous for the horses."
