ATHLETICS prowess is a family affair in the Goodall family from Ashford. Both father Mick and daughter Hayley were in championship winning form in two competitions at the weekend.
Mick set two championship bests in the Kent Veterans event at Erith, winning the men's 40 high jump with 1.50m and then took the pole vault crown with a superb 3.30m.
Meanwhile, at the same track but in the Kent Multi-Event championships, Ashford again had double golds with Hayley following up her Under-17 heptathlon success in the last two years with gold in the Under-20s this time round.
The outstanding Jenny Brown continues to defy the years with a superb gold in the senior heptathlon following up her successes in the European Veterans championships a few weeks back.
Hayley won with 3,087 points with 17.5 in the 80m hurdles, 1.60m in the high jump, 6.82 shot, 26.8 200m, 5.28m long jump, 18.47m javelin and 2:34.2 in the 800m.
