Former Ashford United manager Gary Alexander has revealed how he was sacked from the job while watching I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
The manager lost his job by text message late on Saturday after leading the Nuts & Bolts to a third straight win.
Alexander was only given 13 league games in charge and he left Homelands with United seventh in Bostik South East.
He said: "I was watching I'm A Celebrity, looked down at my phone and I had a missed call.
"I went to pick my phone up but instead of waiting to get hold of me, a text came through and I was sacked via text.
"It came as a bit of a shock but if that's how you want to do it and that's what you feel is good, no problem.
"We have different aspirations at the end of the day. You shouldn't be saying things if you don't want to achieve them and I think we just grew apart.
"I don't need to slate the club, people can judge for themselves. People know what I'm about and they'll have an inkling.
"The boys know because we've been fighting cases for different things that go on at this level.

"If I run a football club, I want to run it properly and maybe Ashford didn't want to run it that way.
"We're a little bit far away from each other, where we see ourselves going and that's probably what's caused it."
Alexander joined Ashford in January as assistant manager to Jason Whitmore, a man he says will be a friend for life.
He said "I won't have a bad word said against Jason for what he did for the club last year, to stand there and take flak in the position they were in.
"If you go back and look where they were in the table a year ago, looks at goals for and against, there will be a massive difference.
"That club, without Jason, doesn't happen. He doesn't get the credit he deserves for what he's done to keep that club afloat.
"It's been a great learning curve to have to deal with certain people. There's no sour grapes and I wish Ashford all the best."
Alexander added: "You either love me or hate me. Some people like the way we work, others don't, that's football.
"If the right opportunity comes along, I want to get back into the game but I won't be rushing.
"I rushed into this one a little bit but I wouldn't change anything. I've met some incredible fans and it's been a cracking learning curve to know how different people work."
