AMERICAN Football team East Kent Mavericks are holding the first in a series of open training sessions at the Julie Rose Stadium, Ashford, 11am-2pm on Sunday, October 15.
There will be opportunities for players aged 14-18, for the youth squad, and 18 and over, for the senior squad, who play in the British American Football League.
Chairman Glenn Lindley said: "We looking to recruit as many new players as possible, as American Football requires a big team and an even bigger squad.
"No previous experience is necessary and complete rookies will be made as welcome as experienced players.
"Ashford has had several teams of its own over the years including the Raiders, Cruisers and Olympians so we know there has been an interest in American Football in the area in the past and we are hoping to attract several new players."
Those wishing to take part in the training session will need to arrive by 10.30am and bring football boots or trainers, depending on the weather, and shorts and T-shirt or tracksuit.
