The Hythe squad return to pre-season training next week with boss Scott Porter promising the build-up will be hard but enjoyable but hard.
The Reachfields squad have 11 days before their first friendly against Margate, and Porter said “Everything is in place, and we will be doing two sessions a week.
“We will be working with the footballs from the start, doing short-sharp stuff, two, two-hour sessions a week.
"It will be hard, but I want the boys to enjoy it. I am not a believer in sending players on long distance runs, that’s old fashioned in this day and age.”
“Fitness has played a big part in our success in the past, and I want that to continue.
Hythe have arranged a press photo-call on Monday when they will announce the appointments of two additions to the board, a new chairman and commercial manager/director.
The club will reveal their new main sponsor the following week.
