Scott Porter is warning his Hythe Town players to improve or face being shown the door.

The Reachfields boss blasted the performance in the 2-1 FA Cup Preliminary Round defeat at Ryman League, Division 1 South rivals Three Bridges as unacceptable and accused them of letting the club down, as Hythe missed out on a lucrative home tie against Maidstone in the next round on Saturday week.

Porter said: “It was the worst performance of the season. You can probably get through a game if one or two don’t perform but not every single player.

“There was a lot of incentive in the game money-wise and we should have had enough about us to go there and get a result.

“We didn’t get anything, and didn’t deserve it. It was a bad day, we just didn’t turn-up. Every player let the club down.

“Everyone should put in the effort and show passion for the club but we didn’t do that.

“I can only apologise to the fans who were there. The players have got to buck up their ideas or they won’t be at the club.”

Porter is threatening changes for the league trip to Merstham on Saturday.

He said: “ I would change all of them if I could, nobody deserves their place after that last week.

“I will pick what I believe is the right team to go there and get a result. I need to see a reaction.
