Appeal for witnesses after shooting in Thamesmead

An appeal for witnesses has been made after a man was taken to hospital with gunshot wounds.
The 28-year-old was shot in Manordene Road, Thamesmead, shortly after 6pm on Friday.
He was taken to a London hospital for further treatment and is in a stable condition.
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime South (Trident) are appealing for witnesses following the incident.
