Armed police deployed following reports of man with gun in Bexleyheath

Armed police units and a helicopter were deployed following reports of a man with a gun in Bexleyheath.
Police were sent to Long Lane at 2.10pm, after receiving a call to say a male armed with a firearm was in the area.
Armed officers were seen to have closed off one end of nearby Nursery Avenue and a helicopter was seen above Russell Park.
The Metropolitan Police said searches had been carried out but nothing had been found and the officers were stood down.
