Bexleyheath stabbing: Boy taken to hospital after attack in Market Place

A 17-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after a stabbing.

Emergency services were called to Market Place in Bexleyheath shortly after 10pm last night following the attack.

Police and paramedics arrived - with an air ambulance also landing nearby.

They found a teenage boy with a stab wound and he was taken to a London hospital for treatment.

An investigation has been launched by the Met Police and no arrests have been made so far.

A spokesman for the force said: "Police were called at 10.03pm on Friday to reports of a stabbing in Market Place, Bexleyheath.

"Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance.

"A 17-year-old male was found with a stab wound.

"He was taken to an east London hospital for treatment and his injury is not believed to be life-threatening.

"Inquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made."
