Person dies after being hit by train at Belvedere railway station

A person has died after being hit by a train.
Travellers coming in to the county are facing a longer wait than usual after the incident, which happened just before midday.
Half a dozen police vehicles were called to the scene at around 11.50am following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
A British Transport Police spokesman added: “Paramedics also attended however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
Police were joined by the fire service and London air ambulance, as well as a UK Power Networks van.
Southeastern have confirmed a person was struck by a train on the Woolwich Line at Belvedere railway station.
A spokesman added: “Due to emergency services dealing with an incident, trains will be delayed, diverted or cancelled at short notice.
“Tickets are being accepted on TfL Buses, as well as Elizabeth Line and DLR on reasonable routes.”
