Dozens of firefighters have been called to tackle a huge blaze in a stubble field.
Flames have taken over approximately eight hectares of land and hedgerow off Chelsfield Lane, Orpington.
More than 70 firefighters from London Fire Brigade in 10 engines have been at the scene since 11.43am.
Fire crews from Orpington, Sidcup, Bromley, Eltham, Plumstead, Biggin Hill and surrounding fire stations have been sent to the incident.
It is the latest in a spate of field fires across Kent as hot dry weather continues to cause issues for farmers.
Fifty acres of barley fields were destroyed last month when it caught alight on a farm in Lenham Heath near Maidstone.
The following day, another blaze was sparked in Chartham, near Canterbury, as a quick-thinking farmhand leapt into action creating a fire break.
Ryan Cooper, 20, was in a neighbouring farm when he jumped into a slurry tanker and began spraying water to stop the flames.
