Firefighters tackle huge warehouse blaze at Crabtree Manorway South, Belvedere

Around 70 firefighters were sent to tackle a large blaze at an industrial warehouse.
Crews fought back flames for around three hours at the business premises of a cleaning company in Crabtree Manorway South, Belvedere.
Ten fire engines were sent shortly before 8.30pm last night.
Half of the ground floor and most of the roof of a two-storey industrial warehouse were damaged in the blaze.
An internal wall between two industrial units partially collapsed. There were no reports of any injuries.

Station Commander Chris Mattingley, who was at the scene, said: "The fire was producing heavy smoke which could be seen from the dual carriageway.
"One of the Brigade's 32-metre turntable ladders was used as a water tower, to get water on to the building externally from height.
"Firefighters remained on scene throughout the night."

Crews from surrounding stations attended and the fire was brought under control shortly before 11.30pm.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
