Emma Raducanu will tonight be bidding to go down in history and become the first British woman to win a tennis grand slam since 1977.
Yet for millions of people, watching the much-anticipated US Open final seemed to be off the cards due to it not being broadcast on free-to-air TV.
But thanks to a last-minute deal, tennis fans can tune in at 9pm on Channel 4 to cheer on the 18-year-old Bromley star.
Channel 4 has agreed with Amazon, which has the exclusive tournament rights, to share the broadcast of the match.
Coverage will begin at 8pm, with the final then starting an hour later.
Channel 4’s chief content officer, Ian Katz, said: “Emma’s meteoric rise to secure a place in the US Open Final is just sensational.
"We’re glad to have worked with Prime Video and pulled out all the stops to get it on air and I’m sure viewers will be thrilled at the prospect of watching Emma in this grand slam final.”
Raducanu, who faces fellow unseeded teenager Leylah Fernandez, is yet to drop a set on her path to the last two.
She started the tournament as world number 150 in the WTA rankings and had to go through qualifying matches in order to reach the first round at Flushing Meadows.
Should she win tonight, she will pocket £1.8 million in prize money.
While the BBC has the rights to Wimbledon, and ITV has rights for the French Open, the tennis calendar's two other grand slams - the Australian and US - are not on free-to-air channels.
Following Raducanu’s semi-final victory two days ago, the BBC secured the rights to broadcast a highlights show on Sunday.
But Channel 4 struck a last-minute deal with Amazon to share the broadcast rights, meaning millions will be able to tune in tonight.
