A person has died after being hit by a train.
British Transport Police have confirmed that an individual in their 50s was pronounced dead at the scene after an incident between Bromley South and Swanley at 6.03pm last night.
A spokesman said: "Officers were called to Bickley station following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended, and sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Officers are currently working to identify the deceased and inform their family.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
The emergency services descended on the train station during yesterday's rush-hour and commuters faced lengthy delays.
A passenger who was on her way home from work said she had to get off the train at Bickley not knowing what was happening.
She said: "There were loads of police at the station.
"We just got stopped for half an hour and everyone's had to get off the train.
"I could see three fire engines, two ambulances and loads of police cars. I think incident report unit just showed up as well and advanced trauma team."
