Man charged with attempted murder after police officers struck with car in Penge, Bromley

A man has been charged with attempted murder after two police officers were hit by a car.
Harry Michael Mackenney, 30, of Parnham Close, Bromley, has been charged with attempted murder, grevious bodily harm and false imprisonment.
The officers were rushed to hospital after the suspected attack on Avenue Road, Penge, on Saturday, February 22.
The incident happened shortly after 11pm, as the police officers attempted to stop the driver of the car.
The officers have since been discharged from hospital, and the extent of their injuries is not known.
Mackenney appeared at Bromley Magistrates' Court on Monday, February 24, and was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on March 23.
