A shopping centre had to be evacuated following reports of a "serious threat".
Police were called to scene at The Glades Shopping Centre in Bromley shortly after 2pm.
Witnesses described seeing police "scurrying up and down" the high street and "shouting for everyone to get back".
A video circulating online shows streams of shoppers exiting the mall and a cordon was put in place.
Officers remained in attendance this afternoon.
Police said the area had been evacuated as a precaution owing to a "security alert".
It comes just days after reports of a bomb threat led to the Broadway Shopping Centre in Bexleyheath being evacuated.
A spokesman for the shopping centre said they were investigating a "serious threat" and the building would reopen once they were sure of everyone’s safety.
