Erith shooting: Sixth man charged with murder following death of Kai McGinley

Detectives investigating the murder of a 24-year-old who was shot have charged a sixth man.
Kai McGinley, from Southwark, died last month following a shooting in the street in Erith, Bexley.
Officers from Met Police and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service were called to Pembroke Road at 8.50pm on Thursday, February 9, after reports of shots being fired.
They found Mr McGinley suffering from a gunshot wound and he died at the scene.
Today (March 27), Anthony Wallder appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court charged with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder.
The 20-year-old of Eastry Road, Bexley, was remanded to appear at the Old Bailey on Monday, May 29.
Five people have already been charged in connection with the fatal shooting.
Enriko Spahiu, 20, of Elmhurst, Belvedere, and Jalees Selby-Gangera, 18, of Woodfield Close, Erith, were charged on March 9 with murder and attempted murder.
Connor Brooks, 21, of Horsa Road, Erith, and Bradlee Reeve, 33, of Chapman Road, Erith, were also both charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder on March 11.
And Kai Osibodu, 23 of Riverdale Road, was arrested on March 17 and charged with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder.
A plea hearing is scheduled for May 30 with a trial date scheduled for January 3, 2024, both at the Old Bailey.
There have also been three other arrests as part of the investigation.
A 16-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and a 53-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder on March 9.
Both have been bailed pending further inquiries.
A 17-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder but was released with no further action.
Inquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing.
