A teenage boy has been arrested after an elderly woman was robbed on a bus.
Detectives investigating the attack in Sidcup last month initially appealed for help to identify the suspect.
The 80-year-old victim reported she was travelling on the route 233 bus on Marechal Niel Parade on June 29 when her phone was stolen.
Met Police launched an appeal via the media on July 18 and following the appeal a suspect was identified and arrested on August 5.
Officers also arrested him on suspicion of possession of cannabis and possession of a prohibited weapon after a noxious spray was reportedly found at the address during the arrest.
He has since been released on bail until early September, police said.
