Two men charged with murder after death of Max Moy Wheatley from Orpington

Two men have been charged with murder after a 19-year-old was fatally stabbed.
Max Moy Wheatley, 19, was stabbed in the heart at Jubilee Country Park, near Tent Peg Lane, in Petts Wood, Bromley.
London Ambulance Service, police and Kent Air Ambulance attended the scene but despite their efforts Max, who was from the Orpington area, died at the scene.
Now, Billy Jay Benton, 18, of Playgreen Way, Bellingham, and Arvie-Ray Mehmet, 19, of Arnulf Street, Bellingham have been charged with murder.
Benton was also charged with being in possession of an offensive weapon.
The pair were charged on Saturday, September 30 after they were arrested on Friday, September 29.
They will appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 2.
Max’s family have been aware of the development in the case.
A post-mortem examination held on Friday, 22 September gave the cause of death as a stab wound to the heart.
