Woman dies after crash on M25 near Orpington

A woman died after a crash on the M25 near Orpington yesterday afternoon.
Police say a black Nissan Qashqai collided with a tree following a collision with a grey Ford Transit van, at around 4pm.
The initial collision happened in lane two of the anti-clockwise carriageway, between Junction 3 and 4.
Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service, and a woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
She had been travelling as a passenger in the Qashqai along with another woman who was airlifted to a London hospital with serious injuries.
A man, who was driving, along with a child, reported minor injuries.
The driver of the van was unharmed.
Officers from Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit would like to hear from any witnesses or anyone who saw the vehicles involved beforehand. They are also appealing for anyone with dashcam or any other video footage to come forward.
